About this property

Half of a twin-dome compound. Sleeps thirty-six.

Teton View Retreat East sits at 1688 May Fly Drive in Ashton, Idaho — the eastern of two mirror-image dome cabins on a property with private views of the Grand Teton range. The cabin sleeps thirty-six across six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Yellowstone's west entrance is an hour away. The Henry's Fork is five minutes down the road.

What the East Cabin actually is, in one sentence: a 36-person family-and-friends compound with a theater, a pool table, an indoor zipline, a secret play room, a private bunny ski hill, and uninterrupted views of the Tetons from a property that backs onto Forest Service land.

Highlights

What the East cabin owns

Grand Teton range, framed.

The property sits at elevation in Ashton with line-of-sight to the Teton range. Morning light on the peaks is the reason guests rebook. Forest Service land directly behind the property means no one ever builds in front of that view.

Theater. Pool table. Indoor zipline. Secret play room. Air hockey. Five Xbox consoles.

Most large-group cabins say 'sleeps 36' and stop there. This one has built-in entertainment for every age — the kids find the secret play room and the indoor zipline within the first hour. The theater seats the adults at night.

A private bunny hill with a rope tow on the property.

Few rentals have their own ski hill. Teton View does. The bunny hill includes a rope tow, with sleds and tubes provided. Additional fee for use, but it means the youngest kids learn to ski without leaving the property.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Direct line: (208) 821-4034 · [email protected]

  • What's the difference between East and West?
Same building, mirror-image floor plans. The East and West cabins were designed as a twin-dome property — bookable separately for groups of 36 each, or together as one 68-person property. Same amenities, same Teton views, same private ski hill.
  • How far is it from Yellowstone?
One hour by car to the west entrance at West Yellowstone, Montana. Ashton sits south of the park; the drive runs through Targhee National Forest.
  • Is the ski hill really on the property?
Yes. A private bunny hill with a rope tow, sleds, and tubes provided. There's an additional fee to use it. Best for beginner skiers and snow-day fun, not a full-mountain experience.
  • What about the moose?
In late March / early April every spring, a moose comes through and walks around the domes for a few weeks — sometimes within six inches of the front scenic windows. Confirmed by the property owner. Not guaranteed every year, but it happens.
  • Can you book both East and West together?
Yes — there's a third Grandview listing for the combined property at airbnb.com/rooms/45020897. Sleeps up to 68 across both halves. Best fit for family reunions, corporate retreats, milestone trips that need a single property for a large group.
  • How far from the Henry's Fork?
Five minutes. The Henry's Fork of the Snake River — one of the most famous dry-fly waters in the country — has multiple public access points right around Ashton.
